The Bean is slowly dipping his toe into the world of super heroes. Though he is not quite ready to trade Spider-Man for Lightning McQueen or stop watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in favor of Batman, he is getting more inquisitive about pop culture’s costumed heroes. Thankfully, there are a couple of The Bean’s pre-school friends who seem to be guiding his interest. Recently, the Bean was invited to one of their birthday parties and I was thrilled to learn it was a superhero themed costume party.
“So who does the Bean want to be?” I asked WonderWife™ when she told me about the event.
“He picked Robin.”
“Robin?” I asked incredulously. “Robin?”
“Yes, Robin.”
“Robin’s not a superhero," I said glumly, "He’s a sidekick.”

I read this post about five minutes after I saw this: http://www.eatliver.com/i.php?n=7122
SciFi...That's fantastic!
Dude! Teen Titans! Robin totally steps up to junior superhero status. ;)
My boys were Batman and Robin for Halloween. I was worried at first about the 3yo being the "sidekick" - but he *insisted*. He LOVES Robin.
And SFD - that comic was hilariously wrong! :D
NOOOOO, say it isn't so...
That dang Mickey Clubhouse song is stuck in my brain, it just won't go away....make it stop.
It's shows like that which leed me to buy the Popcorn Hour c-200. It's rad, you should look into it. No more commercials! And only the cartoons I want him to watch. Niiice.
Start with Robin, move on up. Like his style.
Sup Geek Boy.
It could be worse. I had to find out how to answer my daughter's query, "Daddy, who's more strong? Superman or Jesus?" (religion debate aside).
I'm hoping the Boba Fett helmet in my room influences the brood over the years.
Fun post, dude. Let us know how the party turns out.
Jason
The Cheeky Daddy
Zen...Jr. Superhero. Not full superhero.
Jay...Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog!
James...That's one way to look at it.
Jason...The party turned out awesome. There was a Spider Man, an Omega Man, a few Catwomen and super girls. It was at a public park, so all the kids ran around in their costumes mixed up with the regular kids.
